We have an excitingopportunity withinthe GlobalHematologyFranchise as Global Marketing Director,Calquence. Within the GlobalCalquenceteam, this role plays a critical part in shaping the future of the brand by leading the DLBCL strategy and driving a robust lifecycle management (LCM) and loss of exclusivity (LOE) strategy.
Reporting to the Global Commercial Head, this roleis responsible fordefining and delivering the global strategy for DLBCL, including preparation for key data readouts such as ESCALADE, while ensuring strong alignment with markets and cross-functional teams. In parallel, the roleleadsthe development of a comprehensive LCM and LOE strategy, including scenario planning, value optimization, and long-term brand sustainability.
This position works in close collaboration with global, regional, and market stakeholders across the US, Europe, andInternationalregions, as well as with key headquarters functions including Marketing, Global Analytics & Insights (GA&I), Digital, Pricing and Market Access, Global Medical Affairs (GMA), Regulatory Affairs, R&D, and Product Development.
Key responsibilities
LeadDLBCLStrategy and ESCALADE Preparation
Lead globalDLBCL commercial strategy development
Maintain leadership of theESCALADE program preparation, supporting readiness for the expected HLR in 2027
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure strong preparation for potential future launches
Insights & Strategic Opportunity Identification
Partner with Global Analytics & Insights to generate deep understanding ofthe evolving treatment landscape
Engage with key external experts and stakeholders to inform strategy
Translate insights intoclear strategic opportunities and business cases
Cross-Functional Leadership
Collaborate withglobal and regional stakeholders across Marketing, Medical, Market Access, RegulatoryandR&D
Drive alignment across complex cross-functional initiatives
Contribute to building AstraZeneca’s leadership in hematology
LOE Strategy & Preparedness
Lead LOE planning and readiness
Develop andmaintainrobust scenario planning (timelines, risks, opportunities)
Define mitigation strategies to protect and maximize value post-LOE
Collaborate with Legal/CIon:Patent landscape monitoring,LOE timing assumptions,Risk/opportunity assessment
Integrate competitive dynamics into lifecycle planning
Work closely with regions and marketstotranslate LCM strategy into actionable execution plans,identifylocal levers to maximize value, and ensure readiness for LOE transition scenarios
Strategic Planning & Governance
Support senior leadership discussions with clear, data-driven insights
Ensure consistency across indications and lifecycle phases
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Science subject
3+ years Experience in Oncology marketing
Broad global commercial experience including pre-launch and launch
Proven experience and knowledge of a broad base of external customers including patients, prescribers, payers, and providers
Demonstrated use of insights to deliver effective strategy
Evidence of developing compelling business cases
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities with a high degree of autonomy
Desirable attributes:
Experience in Hematology
Strong clinical acumen and scientific mind-set
Business Insights experience
Global launch experience preferred
